The Exchange: AuditionShe kicked the charred leaves, holding a cigarette in her teeth.  The sky was plain, blue, bright, but not vibrant, and pierced by the black spires of branchless, burnt trees.  Taking a deep breath, then taking the cigarette out of her mouth, she tapped the ashes off the end so they mingled with the ashes being blown across the forest floor.  She considered the fact that she should be choking on the airborne debris, but let it pass with another slow pull on the roll of compacted chemicals.

A week into NaNoWriMo and I'm 8,000 words behind! Yay! :/

Uh, yeah. I really like my story, and it's going well. I just have little time, and I keep spending it on things like this, or movies, or facebook, or nano forums. *sigh*

I really need more sleep, because I have bronchitis and I need to get better. Being in three choirs, two plays (Twilight Zone opens Thursday!!), color guard, a college class on top of my high school ones, and nanowrimo is all making it really hard to get better.

Well, my cat and my novel both want attention, and I need sleep. So goodnight.
